Besides Centre competitions Queensland Little Athletics organize non championship days. Junior Carnival (Under 7 to Under 10) & Senior Carnival (Under 11 to Under 17) are open to all registered athletes. As this is a non-championship day, not such a rigid competition principle will be adopted as would be for a championship competition. Officials can act in a advisory capacity but the rules of competition will be applied.
The Q.L.A.A. Pentathlon is available to all registered athletes in the Under 9 to Under 17 age group.
The State of Queensland is divided into thirteen Zones. Goodna Centre is part of the Metro West Zone. Other Centres in our Zone are Esk, Rosewood, Ipswich, Centenary, Kenmore and Toowong Harriers.
Metro West Zone meet twice a year for Zone Intercentre Relay Day and Zone Intercentre Games. These competitions are primarily non championship days and provide an opportunity for all children from with in the Zone to meet for friendly competition. The fact they are also qualifying competitions for entry to State Championships is incidental. The main reason is to give everyone a chance to compete with children from other Centres.
